What if today, the government decided to limit the news you received because they felt that they did not approve of it?

What if today, every phone call was being monitored or every text message or e-mail reviewed. What if today there was an article in a newspaper that someone in government did not like, so they simply cut the entire page out? We would be outraged; we would vote those people out of office; we would challenge these things in our court system.

Thankfully, censorship like this does not happen in our country…but in many parts of the world it does every day, and in those places there is no opportunity to vote people out of office or challenge decisions in court. We live in a blessed and great nation where we have freedoms that are not shared by many people of the world.

Even more importantly, we also have the opportunity to take the Gospel to the untold billions who are yet untold due to restrictions.

In the 1950's, Dr. Sumrall started a television program and radio program locally in South Bend, Indiana. Then the door opened to operate a local radio station in 1968, a television station in 1972, eventually satellite television, and in 1985 International Shortwave Radio.

Today, LeSEA Broadcasting has heard from every nation on Earth, our signals cover the world; we are blessed to be able to reach those untold billions who are yet to be told.With high powered shortwave radio, satellite television, cable, local radio and television, the Internet, and printed material such as Spread the Word Bibles, we are reaching out like never before. Millions are hearing the Gospel every day, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!

The needs are huge, the opportunities bigger, the desire stronger. We are a mission organization; our lives are dedicated to taking this Gospel to our neighbors here in our nation, across the oceans and around the world. This was the calling of a young Lester Sumrall that founded our Ministry, and it continues today and will into the future.

Our ability to reach out and touch the world with the Gospel is unique. There are ministries that reach parts of the world or use only one method to reach people; we are blessed to have multiple ways to reach every country on Earth. While we are thankful for these privileges and opportunities, we are also humbled by the task. We need your prayers for our far flung staff, for decisions that have to be made every day that the people we cover will be listening or watching and finally, that lives will be changed by the message of the Gospel.

The world is not interested in us reaching people with the Gospel. Our funding does not come from people who do not care about the Gospel. While we have many programming partners, their working with us does not cover the costs associated with getting the Gospel out. Our main costs are personnel and utilities. Every month we have to underwrite the expenses of these ministries. Every month we have make up the difference. It's a huge expense that we cover every month, but while some would say we should quit and cut thecost, we can't; we are reaching the lost, and we just can't quit!

We need your prayers and we need your support. Will you stand with us today andlet us know that you support us in this mission to carry forward the message? I love seeing the letters from our "loyalty partners", those who give faithfully year after year and have been with us for decades, who are praying for the ministry and still able to support theministry.

What an encouragement you are! Your support shows that you know we are reaching the people who need to hear the Gospel; and you are doing what you can to support our efforts around the world. I'm touched every time I see a letter from a partner letting me know their sacrifice to support the ministry. It is a blessing, and I know you will be blessed for your sacrifice and support. It takes all of us to push this ministry forward, to reach out and touch someone today who has never heard the Gospel before.
